Day 21 Twyfelffontein to Swakopmund. 240 kms May 22nd

10.00 o’clock start, breakfast overlooking the wonderful rock formations and then onto the cave paintings, we couldn’t believe cave painting could look so pristine after 2,000 years.
On the road again and landscape very similar to Bungaroo Creek for the first 180 kms, came across many local women today not covering their breasts but apart from that not much else to see. The Time trial we had to wait for Udo because we were short of petrol and he was carrying 5 litres for us, once topped us we tried to go flat out but the Mistress is starting to play up coughing and spluttering so Bruce gave it all he could, we did it under the time required so all okay. We popped into Uis for a quick lunch and then straight onto our overnight stop of Swakopmund the drive was on flat sandy roads for 120kms and nothing to see, we approached the town of Henties Bay to see Shirley and Jock stopped by local police, the first we have seen in days. Arrived at our accommodation an old Railway Station converted into luxury resort. Bruce attended to the Mistress changing the spark plugs and a quick overall of the necessary bits while the girls organised where we were having tea, tonight was a free for all because the town of Swakopmund has many choices of sea food restaurants another wonderful night had amongst friends, again food top quality however the manager of the restaurant was extremely rude and anti social.
