A very cold and cuddly night, morning very crisp and fresh decided to shower however had to wait for hot water to be brought to out tent ensuite to find this was only luke warm and decided to black snake it like most of the crew. Great breakfast choices but again hot food was cold, their were a few disgruntled customers. Gianmaria & Rosella in car 26 forgot to put their handbrake on so their car decided to roll forward and cuddle into Philip Youngs a little damage had been done.
Back on the road and many police stops with many speeding fines handed out amongst the team, 2 more road tolls. Lunch was at the lovely Hwange safari Lodge where we saw monkeys kudos and painted dogs as we continue our drive to Victoria Falls we see many cattle, goats and donkeys along the roadside, roads have been a little bumpy at times.
We arrive at Victoria Falls Hotel with another welcome drink much appreciated since this has been a warmer day unload the car and have a look around this magnificent hotel which is named the ” Grand old Lady of Africa. All meet for dinner in a majestic room with superb food and retire to bed knowing we will all have a comfortable sleep. At 11.00 o’clock we both walk to the Victoria Falls and bridge to see this absolutely awesome sight. We meet with the other rally members where we have a delicious hamburger at Victoria Falls cafe. We pay a local to drive us in a tok tok to the craft markets purchase a stone warthog and then make our way to the hotel. 4.30pm we get on a bus and drive to the river for a sundowner cruise on the Zimbazei river. Spotted rhinoceros, crocodiles and bird life and had a wonderful experience watching the sunset, and full moon rise, the river was very calm returned to the hotel for a tea which we decided not to have since we had been picking at food during our river cruise, had an early night.
