Day 14 Victoria Falls to Nata (Botswana) 390 km. May 15th

Bruce woke early ready and eager to get on the road for another border crossing. I had packed all bags last night because tomorrow we are flying to Okavango Delta and are only allowed 1 bag each per person. Headed to breakfast overlooking Victoria Falls spectacular sight while having a scrumptious breakfast. Today we had 2 courses fruit plus a hot meal of your choice the selection was huge. Prepared 2 small rolls with ham & salad for lunch since we weren’t sure if their would be a lunch stop. 9.00 o’clock start we are heading for the Botswana border spotting monkeys along the way, this was very straight forward however the Kudo horns Bruce obtained from Sabi Sands Dulini Resort were removed from the Mistress and stayed in Zimbabwe, much to Bruce’s disappointment. While travelling through Botswana we have seen many elephants on the roadside wildlife is plentiful and the roads are in great condition. The Mistress is starting to heat up while driving Had a very easy drive to Nata on great roads where we came across a journey of giraffes, ostriches and many elephants, and every now again sun flower and millet crops. Arrived at the Nata Safari Camp early afternoon to be shown to our luxury tent, this was placed on a wooden platform where we had separate bedroom, bathroom/ toilet and shower outside, and decking veranda. Bruce checked the car while I took a leisurely stroll around the camp and decided to relax in the pool area, with Zoe, Norah, Shirley and Jackie where we enjoyed gin & tonics and chatted about our highlights of the rally, the sun
disappeared and the cold night air prompted us to go in shower and put some warmer clothing on. The men sat around the bar laughing and discussing their next rallies etc. Tea was had in the lovely round building and an early night was had by all for an early start tomorrow.
